Equity is built,
not announced.
Evidence-led EDI that changes what actually happens in your organisation, not what gets said about it. Practical inclusion that holds up in the real world of work.
Wherever people work or learn.
Fair, evidence-led inclusion follows the same principles across every setting. We bring those, and learn the detail of yours.
Four ways in. One goal: fairer outcomes, for real.
Most inequity is not down to bad intentions. It is down to processes, habits and environments that quietly produce unfair results. Everything we do is aimed at changing that.
Find where fair outcomes break down, then design the fix.
We look at how decisions actually get made, across recruitment, progression, pay and everyday practice. We find where outcomes start to differ by background or need, then redesign the process so the fair result becomes the default.
- The Fair Outcomes Review, our core diagnostic
- Inclusive recruitment and progression redesign
- Policy and process review
- Inclusive culture and belonging strategy
- Staff networks and accountability
Capability where it changes decisions.
Learning tied to the real moments where bias creeps in: hiring panels, managers making calls about people, leaders setting the tone. Warm, practical, role specific, and built to shift what people do, not just how they talk.
- Inclusive recruitment and fair panels
- Inclusive leadership and management
- Writing your equality report
- Anti-racism and race equity
- Neurodiversity and disability confidence
- Talks, keynotes and events
One to one and small group, with care and rigour.
Confidential, reflective coaching: for leaders learning to lead inclusively, for EDI and people professionals carrying heavy work, and for individuals navigating progression. Evidence informed, never off the shelf.
- Coaching to lead inclusively
- Career and progression coaching
- A confidential one to one space to think
Safe spaces for the people doing the work.
Facilitated spaces where EDI and inclusion practitioners can think, share and reconnect, away from the pressure to have all the answers. A community of practice that protects the people who protect everyone else.
- Facilitated peer reflection groups
- Communities of practice
- Restorative, confidential, regular
Honest talks that stay with people.
Warm, thoughtful talks on identity, belonging, neurodivergence and mental health, ideal for Black History Month, inclusion events and conferences. Story woven together with practical insight, so audiences feel something and leave with something.
More on speaking →Prefer ongoing support to a one off?
Some organisations want an EDI partner in their corner all year, not just for a single project. Our ongoing partnership gives you steady, senior support without the cost of hiring in house.
- A set amount of time each month, used how you need
- Priority access for advice and quick questions
- A rolling plan with progress reviewed together
- Training, consultancy and reflective spaces in one agreement
- Predictable monthly cost, easy to budget for
A space for the people who hold space for everyone else.
EDI work is often lonely, emotionally heavy, and done by people who spend their energy supporting others. There is rarely anywhere for them to put it down.
We facilitate regular, confidential spaces where practitioners can reflect honestly, share what is hard, and stay well in work that matters. Structured enough to be useful, gentle enough to be safe.
More on reflective spaces →- Honest reflection, free of performance
- Peer connection that reduces isolation
- Practical sense making on live challenges
- A buffer against burnout, by design
- Available for individuals or whole networks
A one-off training day rarely changes a culture. Evidence and structure do.
Awareness sessions make organisations feel like they have acted, while the decisions that shape people's careers stay exactly the same. We would rather fix one biased process than run ten workshops about it. Everything we recommend is grounded in evidence and aimed at one thing, changing actual practice, with a way built in to tell whether it worked.
Inclusion is broader than any one label.
We work across all nine protected characteristics in the Equality Act, and the connections between them. The same evidence-led approach applies whether the issue is race, disability, gender, age or anything else, because the barriers usually sit in the same places: the process, the culture and the everyday decision.
To show what this looks like in practice, take neurodiversity. Lots of people think, focus, read and communicate differently, whether or not they have a diagnosis or a name for it. Most of the barriers they meet sit in the environment and the process, not in the person.
For your people
Recruitment that does not screen out talent for the wrong reasons, adjustments that actually get made, managers who feel confident rather than anxious, and a culture where telling someone is not a risk. We make the whole working life work, not just the first week.
Built into the system
We design the process so barriers do not appear in the first place: clearer communication, fairer assessment, sensible defaults. Get that right and everyone benefits, not only the people who asked. The same thinking applies wherever people learn, too.
Calm, structured, and never winging it.
Good consultancy is not performed live. It is produced. We do the thinking on the page, so every conversation is focused and every recommendation is backed by evidence. Four stages, with something useful at each one.
Listen
A short questionnaire and pre-read before we meet, so calls are for understanding you, not putting you on the spot.
Diagnose
We trace exactly where fair outcomes break down, and for whom, using your data and people's lived experience.
Redesign
Clear written recommendations that rebuild the decision points with accountability built in, so fairness does not rely on goodwill.
Embed
We build your team's capability and a simple measure that shows whether the gap actually closed.
What you can expect: agendas in advance, the real thinking delivered in writing, and the freedom for everyone (us included) to say "let me come back to you properly on that." Rigour over showmanship, every time.
About Workplace Equity.
Workplace Equity is an independent EDI consultancy built on one belief: that fairness is something you design into how an organisation works, not something you announce. Too much EDI work stops at good intentions. We are here for the part that comes after.
We bring practitioner depth from inside complex, people centred organisations, across recruitment and progression, workforce equality data, equality impact assessments, staff networks, investigations and governance. We have done this work from the inside, which is why our advice is practical rather than theoretical.
Our approach is evidence first and refreshingly plain. Less about awareness for its own sake, more about changing what happens next, with the rigour to show whether it worked.
What we stand for
- Systems and accountability over awareness
- Evidence behind every recommendation
- Honesty about what is and is not working
- Change you can actually deliver and measure
Tell us what does not add up.
A gap you cannot explain, a culture that talks a good game but does not shift, or you just need a space to think. Start with a conversation. No pressure to have it all worked out first.
