EDI training
Writing your equality report
Producing a report that meets your duties and actually drives action, rather than gathering dust.
What the session covers
Content is shaped around your organisation, but a typical session includes:
- What your report needs to include, and why
- Understanding your duties and what good looks like
- Reading your data and finding the story in it
- Writing clearly for staff through to board
- Turning findings into a credible action plan
- Common pitfalls, and how to avoid them
What is included
Every booking includes the following as standard:
- A scoping conversation beforehand, so the session fits your organisation and your people
- The session itself, delivered online or in person
- Slides and any handouts used on the day
- A practical takeaway so people leave with something they can act on
- Time for questions and discussion, with an option to gather questions anonymously in advance
- Accessibility considered throughout, including captions online and materials in advance on request
What your organisation gets from it
- Clarity on what your report must contain and why
- Confidence reading your own data and finding the story in it
- A report that reads well for staff and for board
- An action plan that is credible rather than aspirational
Who it is for
EDI leads, HR teams, governance and compliance colleagues, and anyone responsible for producing or signing off an equality report.
